Destinations : Trivandrum - Kumarakom - Periyar - Munnar - Cochin including an Overnight Backwater cruise
Day 1 : Arrive Trivandrum - Kovalam
Upon arrival at Trivandrum International airport after clearing immigration and customs in the visitor's arrival hall you will be met by Anantram Holidays airport facilitation staff and transferred to your hotel in Kovalam. (Hotel check in time 1200 hrs) Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : In Kovalam
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum visiting -Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple, Kuthiramalaika Royal Palace Museum, Napier Museum and Sree Chitra Art Gallery. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3 : In Kovalam
Day free to relax on the beach. Optional Ayurvedic massage can also be enjoyed.
Day 4 : Kovalam - Houseboat
following breakfast drive to Alleppey (170kms /03 hrs) to board houseboat cruise in the backwaters of Kerala. Cruise takes you through the palm fringed canals and is a unique way to discover Kerala. Evening enjoy candlelit dinner on board houseboat. Overnight on board of the Houseboat.
Day 5 : Houseboat - Kumarakom
After breakfast, disembark the houseboat in Kumarakom and check in to the Coconut Lagoon Resort for another unique experience. Overnight at the Hotel. (Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast will be served on board).
Day 6 : Kumarakom - Periyar
Following breakfast disembark from the house boat and drive to Periyar (200 kms/05 hrs). The Periyar Wildlife sanctuary is one of the best maintained wildlife sanctuaries in Southern India ,giving an opportunity of spotting elephants, leopards, tigers and bisons amongst various other species of flora and fauna. On your arrival in Periyar check in to your hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 : In Periyar
Early morning enjoy boat ride on Periyar Lake in National Park to watch wildlife. After breakfast a short jungle trek with a naturalist to watch flora, fauna and avifauna. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 : Periyar - Munnar
After breakfast, drive to Munnar (150 kms/04 hrs). Munnar is one of the most beautiful Hill stations of Kerala ,famed for its manicured tea plantations and quiet colonial atmosphere. On your arrival in Munnar check in to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Munnar - Cochin
Following leisurely breakfast, drive to Cochin by road (135kms/03 hrs). Cochin has recently given new name "Kochi" is the palm green commercial capital of Kerala. Upon arrival check in to your hotel. Evening you will be taken to witness spectacular Kathakali dance show. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : In Cochin
Following breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing tour of Cochin covering - St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue and the Chinese fishing nets. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Depart Cochin
Breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure in Cochin until transfer to the International Airport in time to board your flight home.
